Holiness the Supreme Patriarch Somdet Phra Somdet Phra Nyanasamvara
Sangharaja died Thursday evening at Chulalongkorn hospital where he is
receiving treatment for various ailments in recent months.
He turned 100 3rd October, and is the longest living Supreme Patriarch in Thai history .
The government announced that the national flag will fly at half-mast from 25 to 27 October to commemorate his retirement . Meanwhile, all state officials and state employees ordered to wear black clothes unadorned for 15 days from today 25th October .
From 8 to 25 October Buddhist followers will allow respect for His Holiness. At
noon , his body was moved from Chulalongkorn Hospital to Wat
Bororanives Rajdamri across the road to the motorway ( Rama IV
entrance). The
Urupong output will turn left column to Phetchaburi Road, towards
Rajadamnoen Klang Avenue , Democracy Monument and Phra Sumain Road ,
where the temple .

Chulalongkorn hospital confirmed that His Holiness passed away at 19:30 at night.
The late Supreme Patriarch underwent surgery for intestinal bacterial infections of 14 October at the hospital.
Phra Nyanasamvara was the mentor of His Majesty the King during his 15-day celebration from 22 October to 5 November 1956 . Ordained
as a novice when he was 14 and entering monkhood correct when he turned
20 , he held several important religious positions and was appointed
supreme patriarch in 1988.
According
to the Office of the Secretariat , His Holiness has always reminded his
followers "Three marks of existence " - impermanence, suffering and non
- existence.
Wat
Bororanives , which was the official residence of the Supreme Patriarch
marked the centenary with an exhibition of important historical events
over the last 100 years.
